Cambert with Shiitake
A Camembert style cheese, infused with pieces of shiitake mushrooms. Packed at 5 weeks the cheese is creamy and matures in flavour and changes in texture over the weeks.
Camembert's have a mushroomy aroma and the shiitake enhances that experience.
All our cheese is made using natural cultures and these are not sprayed with Penicillium Camemberti which is used in the production of Camembert and Brie cheeses, on which colonies of P. Camemberti form a hard, white crust. It is responsible for giving these cheeses their distinctive flavours. However, as the cheese matures the crust is often inedible.
